A solid action plan.
What is an Action Plan?
An action plan is a list of things/items you create in order for you to complete a strategic goal that you have in mind.
For example, grow my subscribers by 200 followers in 30 days. the action plan is the steps you take to complete that goal.
An action plan is a must to a functional business plan.
Not only is this important for you to apply to your coaching or consultation business but also great to apply to your personal life as well.
Parts of an action plan:
a clear description of the goal you have in mind
tasks/steps that need to be taken to reach those goals
who will be in charge of these tasks
completion dates
what's needed to complete the tasks
how will you measure your success?
By having everything planned out accordingly it makes it will make the end goals come quicker.
An action plan is not something set in stone. As your organization grows, and surrounding circumstances change, you will have to revisit and make adjustments to meet the latest needs.

Creating an action plan to drive traffic to your consultation business blog.
First, why your consultation business needs a blog?
It's important to have a blog with GREAT content available for your potential clients to look at. This will create trust in your brand and also position you as an expert in your niche market. Your content should always be helpful to your market audience so that you remain to attract them to your site.
Step 1: Define your end goal
If you are not clear about what you want to do and what you want to achieve, you are setting yourself up for failure.
Is this a brand new business? Start by defining where you are and where you want to be.
What problem does your consulting services solve? Analyze that problem and then prioritize the steps it takes to resolve that problem.
Using the smart goal method determines if your goals are clear or if they need to be redefined.
Specific – well-defined and clear
Measurable – include measurable indicators to track progress
Attainable – realistic and achievable within the resources, time, money, experience, etc. you have
Relevant – align with your other goals
Timely – has a finishing date

Step 2:
Clearly list out all the steps it takes to perform these goals your just set.
Don't forget about the short term goals!
Do you work with a team? Does everyone know their clear cut responsibilities and what parts of the plan they are responsible for? Verify and review if necessary.
Make sure that each task is clearly defined and is attainable. If you come across larger and more complex tasks, break them down to smaller ones that are easier to execute and manage.
Step 3:
Set deadlines!
and stick to them.
Be honest with yourself here think about things realistically.
"I'm going to post 100 blog posts in 30 days." This could be realistic IF content creation was the ONLY thing you had to do OR if you have someone helping you with everything else, but most consultants, or at least independent consultants don't have the time for all that.
The more realistic you are with the time it takes to complete your goals the better.
For a part-time blogger, I recommend maybe 1-2 posts per week. This ensures you are growing your social accounts, and spending time connecting with people.
For a full-time blogger, I recommend planning each and every day strategically, do it the night before or the week before, whatever but you GOTTA plan each day or your hours will be worthless to you.
