How To Repurpose Content and Get Organized!

First things first you cannot create a good repurposing strategy, if you do not have a plan. Make a strategic content strategy plan first then create the repurposed post.

Your content strategy plan should include time to create eye-catching images and tell you when and where you will post the content. I create my blog post and social media campaigns in this wonderful tool I found called, Coschedule.

Coschedule is an amazing tool that allows you to post on multiple social media accounts at once and then you can even post to MULTIPLE Pinterest accounts at the same time. WOAH.

I highly suggest checking them out.

After you make your plan you are ready to create the content.

So here's how you repurpose your content!

Repurposing doesn't mean you are not putting new content out there. In fact, you're giving the people more of what they want! Remember, not everyone has seen every single piece of content you have created.

This is a brand new chance for them to see your content!

Republishing that content gives you the chance to talk about information in new and exciting ways.

Especially helpful for content that has been popular for a while and just needs to be updated a bit, given a fresh coat of paint.

Sometimes we find new writing styles that better fit our needs and the needs of our audience so going back and repurposing content from time to time is only beneficial for you and your blog.

1) Find a post that is older but still relevant.

-This content should be valuable, sharable, and versatile!

-It must be easily searchable!

- & It can be tweaked to repurpose its potential.

So maybe you have a post that you thought was going to do really well.

Well turns out it didn't do so hot, you do some research again and try and new title, ad some new headlines, create some better-formulated paragraphs, and also update the photos, and then you repromote the content and hope for a better turn around this time.

Should you not have made your first message clear enough really focus in on the new way to recreate that content so that it is more valuable for your audience.

Using your keywords in your headlines and titles will help boost up your site optimization so make sure you use plenty of those keywords to help make your content more searchable to online users.

2) Create better images for your promotions.

-Use different software to edit and create your images.

-Try a new color scheme for your business brand.

-Rebrand your business and focus on one or two templates to use for your posts.

-Use new sites to promote your business.

If you love using Canva, then you need to check out Visme! I have this awesome tutorial all about Visme right here on my blog, check it out!

You can try to rebrand your business by changing up your templates or even choosing some new colors to promote with. I personally use a range of template, but have only 5 pillars of content that I mainly discuss here on my blog,

When you rebrand your business consider purchasing a new logo, maybe you're using an unattractive logo that isn't really helping your blog traffic. Buy a newer logo, and use the colors from that logo to create a new color scheme for your business.

You should have a handful of templates that are premade to where all you got to do is fill in the text. These are great for quickly editing multiple posts at once.

Research other types of social media accounts you can create to promote your business. It doesn't hurt to try a new one if the old ways are no longer working.

3) Redirect Traffic to More Content on Your site.

While you are going through your old content find ways to create backlinks to other blog posts on your site.

What this does is it creates a way for people to learn more about you and your business and also it keeps them on your site longer which helps with SEO optimization.

See what I did there? You get the point now!

4) Run your titles through the headline analyzer on Coschedule!

The headline analyzer is a goal tool to see if the topic you want to discuss is for sure a good topic to discuss.

It also gives you some tips and tricks on how to optimize your headlines/titles and also has a free download, that gives you access to the most popular words you should include in your posts.

If you haven't had a chance to check out Coschedule yet you should definitely look into it because it is a game-changer!

It allows you to schedule your posts and create the social media campaigns for the posts.

Slight warning though if you aren't paying attention you can look very spammy so make sure you are really paying attention to what you are doing when you are scheduling posts.

5) Finally, when repurposing content you should ALWAYS reread and re-edit the entire posts, start to finish.

You want to make sure your vision is clear and that your initial intent is fully explained.

Say I was wanting to know something I had no prior knowledge on and I came across your blog post.

Your blog post should be able to teach me how to do that and provide me with additional links to more information on that subject.

For instance, if I am posting a DIY I should have laid out the steps clear and precise so that the reader can easily digest the information.

I should create visually appealing aspects to my text and include humor or transitional images/gifs/quotes to take me from one topic to the next.

It should also provide vivid images that attract people to the content so that they keep on reading.

Additionally, you should repurpose all social media content in the same manner.

Repurposing at its finest!

Once you've finally gotten done a good system you can do this maybe once or twice a month to really make sure your posts are performing and performing well.

I hope you found this information helpful!

Until we meet again!
